Introducing one of our amazing chair-leaders

On May 24, 2017, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Saskatchewan will continue its journey towards realizing a vision of a barrier free and fully inclusive society, by hosting the 4th Annual Chair Leaders “Enabling Access” event in Regina.  As a Human Resources professional, I aim to create awareness and educate myself by participating in this initiative.

As one of the Chair Leaders for this initiative, on May 24 I will spend the morning in a wheelchair conducting my normal day to day activities while working. This will give me a taste of some of the challenges and barriers faced by those living with physical disabilities.

I am personally inviting you to join me in making a positive difference in the lives of people living with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. Whether they are a neighbor, a co-worker, friend or family member, all of us know someone impacted by a physical disability.  It is safe to say that accessibility can be a real challenge for those using a wheel chair.

In my endeavor to help those facing these daily obstacles, I have set up a fundraising page. Your generous support will go towards SCI Saskatchewan services and programs.  Some of these programs include power soccer, peer activity events, as well as education and employment supports. With your support, Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan will continue to work towards the goal of a barrier-free and healthy inclusive community where people can maximize their abilities and lead fulfilling and productive lives.

If you have the same vision as me and are inspired to make a difference I encourage you to make a donation and help me raise funds for SCI Saskatchewan. I thank you in advance for your consideration and donations!
