Cristian Figuero

Cristian Figueroa is the new Membership Administrator working in Saskatoon. Cristian is a recent graduate of Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologieswith a diploma in Business Administration. First and foremost, he is grateful to beworking with an organization that truly cares and is not based only on profits and revenues. He think of this as an opportunity to help others while examining ways to better serve our members. Having a female teenage cousin with severecerebral palsy, Cristian recognizes and sympathize with how difficult it is to livewith a physical disability on a day to day basis. She is entering her first year of high school which proves to be a difficult and an emotional transition for anyteenager, yet her positivity and persistence to continually strive to better herself never cease to bring her down or discourage her. She always has a smile on herface. Things like this motivate Cristian to wake up every morning with the belief that he can help someone, regardless of how small it may be.

Delynne Bortis

Delynne has spent the last 5 years working in various positions with Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan, starting in term positions as an event coordinator, moving on to volunteer and community coordinator, and finally finding her niche as client service coordinator. Her favourite accomplishments, other than figuring out how to finally work the copier and maneuvering the carpeted ramp in the back board room, have been creating a Women’s Circle with other women with mobility disabilities and connecting with new spinal cord injured individuals during their adjustment period.

Delynne’s favourite spot is on the lake, in a kayak. But, since this is Saskatchewan, and kayaks don’t propel too easily on ice, you will often find her curled up beside the fire with a good book, socializing with friends, or spending time with her husband, 2 teenaged sons, and a very demanding Havanese Shih-tzu cross who she is convinced was a member of the Night’s Watch in a previous life.

Morgan Darbellay

Born and raised in small town Saskatchewan, Morgan has always believed strongly in the importance of community and giving back. Despite her engagement in the community at a volunteer level for numerous organizations, she fell into fundraising as a profession.

Currently, Morgan is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is working towards her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation. Morgan loves to meet new people and learn what inspires them to give. Giving is such an emotional thing for people; it is a beautiful journey to connect donors and causes. For her, fundraising is more than a job; it’s an honor and a joy!

When not at work, Morgan enjoys gardening and experimenting in the kitchen with her better half but most of all chasing after her three beautiful little humans, Ava, Benjamin and Norah, and teaching them the importance of giving back.
